Icelandic Design
The founder of Icelandic Design, Gerder Krisjansdottir, is a native of Iceland who learned to knit and embroider as a child. Her first venture into clothing business was in the early 1980?s when she imported some hand knit sweaters from her then retired mother to her new home in Colorado. More than 25 years later, Gerder is still at the helm of Icelandic Design, insuring the same high quality construction and use of the finest materials, just as she learned from her grandmother and mother as a little girl.
